My Grandad was a kind and caring person. He meant alot to everyone that knew him, and would do his
best to help anyone in which ever way he could.
One of my fondest memories was being dared to try and pinch his wallet out of his back trouser
pocket, because we all knew if we did he would chase us until he got it back.
He is in heaven with our yorkie Daisy who idolised him, and always used to look for him, even years
after he passed away, and he is there looking after his first great-granddaughter, Angel-Fay
Holland.
Missed and loved each and every day,

Denis fought long and hard to beat lung cancer, and the most comforting thing is the story my mum
tells of the night he fell asleep.
My grandad was blind in one eye, and towards the end of his life my mum Lisa cared for him. The
night he passed my mum feel to sleep but woke in a matter of minutes to find my grandad had opened
the eye he was blind out of and was staring at her. He knew my mum was asleep and it was his time to
go. That night is my mum's own words are "I sat beside you while we were watching the snooker which
you liked, it was early hours of the morning and i was getting very tired. It was coming to the end
of the programme, which i found my eyes getting heavier. I looked at you to make sure everything was
ok, and just for that moment my eyes closed. I opened them with a start and looked at you, and you
had 1 eye open and 1 eye closed, and the machine was making a funny noise. Thats when i grabed your
hand and called to you, DAD! DAD! DON'T GO!!. I was very frightened but I knew it was time for you
to go. When you went, a piece of my heart went with you, even to this day, when i think and talk of
you i shed tears i just can not help myself. Because you were always there to help me out with my
problems and advice. Now I have to do all this myself which comes very hard. But I know that you are
around because I do things that i could never believe I could do, I believe it is you showing me
how. I never thought I could miss someone as much as I do you. I love you so much dad. Love Lisa

When I was in labour with my little girl, I was very tired, and saw a door shuddering a little, I
thought nothing of it until I woke up to find my babies heart had stopped. It was his way of telling
me that he had come to collect her, and by waiting for me to fall asleep, was his way of causing the
least pain.

It's Abbie,
I bet you're cursing me!! Sent you up a cheeky little mini-me to look after for the time being. I wish I knew who Angel looked like as she got older. There'd be no doubt she'd be a brunette, and have bluey-green eyes, as Stuart and I both have this in common.
I hope she knows how much I love her. And I hope when you visit me at night that you bring her with you.
Please look after her for me. She's the single most important thing in my life and I miss her so much.
Please kiss and cuddle her every minute of everyday and teach her all about me as she grows older in your care.
Tell her Mummys only a dream away, and please let her know I tried my hardest to prevent what happened.
Tell her I'll never forget her and how much I love her.
You're a Grandad in a million, and theres no one else I'd rather Angel be with then you.

just wanna say thanks for being the best grandad ever.
I remember on the way home from legoland, when that foreign lorry driver turned into our lane and put our car onto two wheels. Somehow you managed to get it back onto four wheels without it tipping over. I'll never forget that day, saved my life.

oh grandad where do i start writing a tribute to you my dear old grand you were the best and when
i say that i really really mean it .
you were always there for me and if i where to write all the things that you did for me i would be here for ever ,i will just say this i didnt need a dad because you were it that to me says everything.
we was tellin nan today about your memorial just wish she could see it .
I dont wnt to talk about the last time we spoke because i dont like to think of you in so much pain instead i will think about when we was in america and that lifeguard held you under the waterfountain you was furious but im sorry grand that is one of my happiest memories it still makes me laugh now .
you where amazin grand and by god dont we miss you ,if i had three wishes they would be to have you back with us number 2 to have angel fay and that would make our lives complete, but as i came to realize when we lost you and angel wishing and prayin dont work no matter how much we want it to .
keep watchin over us grandad because we know you do and well just keep loving you until we all meet again and my third wish is to make sure we all get to be a family again in heaven because my family are my everything love you luciexxx
